A downloadable fan project

Crystal Conflict is a remake of the LEGO browser game "Crystalien Conflict" that was centered around the 2007 Mars Mission theme. Crystal Conflict was made to recreate Crystalien Conflict in 3D as faithful as possible while enhancing all its controls and mechanics to meet the standards of quality rts titles. Also there's every set from every wave of the Mars Mission theme (and more?) available as units in the game all with their own unique abilities!

For now the game is a prototype with two playable factions and all their units.

Join the Astros and explore the red planet for its riches or fight for the aliens to defend what is rightfully theirs.

Construct harvesters to collect crystals and build your base to defend against the incoming enemy waves. You have to destroy every enemy building on the map in order to succeed but don't be too slow: the incoming enemies grow in strength and numbers with every minute.

What an amazing game! I love the original, and this is a great expansion upon it. I love all the new units and features, and the fact that the Astros' and Aliens' units are different now. Obviously there are still some bugs to work out, but I really hope you're still working on this, because this is already great and could be with refinement a masterpiece.

Bugs I found:

  • I accidentally ordered a Dropship to unload when it was hovering over a cliff, and all my troops ended up suspended in midair and unmovable. The Dropship was fine but those poor engineers...
  • Building on the clifftops is inconsistent at best. Several places where I think I should be able to place a turret and I can't, or where I can but it's sticking off the cliff halfway. Some of the spots on the cliff I can build on end up putting the building at the lower ground level so the model is halfway buried.
  • Turrets firing from clifftops is hampered by line of sight problems. When an enemy unit gets too close to a cliff with a turret of mine on it they aim through the cliffside at each other and end up just shooting rocks. Or worse, sometimes the infantry beam can hit my turret but the turret can't hit back.

That said I'm super impressed and so pleased to find a great expansion on a game I absolutely loved. The game is a blast, thanks for making it!

Looks a bit like Red Alert!

This was a rush of Nostalgia as i remember playing the original when i was a kid on Lego's website. Thank you my dear sir for releasing this
